Learning Across Continents – Terms & Conditions

Welcome to Learning Across Continents (“LAC,” “we,” “our,” “us”). By using our website or participating in our programs, you (“you,” “your,” “family,” “participant”) agree to the following Terms & Conditions.

1. Nature of Services

• LAC provides educational enrichment and cultural travel experiences.
• We are not a school, do not provide government accreditation, and do not guarantee academic credits.
• Families remain solely responsible for complying with their local, state, or national education laws.

2. Program Participation & Risks

• Travel and cultural activities involve inherent risks, including but not limited to illness, accidents, injury, theft, delays, and acts of nature.
• By enrolling, you acknowledge these risks and agree to assume full responsibility for your participation and that of your child(ren).
• Parents/guardians are responsible for supervising their children at all times.

3. Health, Safety & Insurance

• Families are required to obtain and maintain valid health, travel, and liability insurance covering the entire duration of participation.
• Proof of insurance may be requested and must be provided prior to participation.

4. Payments, Refunds & Cancellations

• Program deposits are non-refundable unless otherwise stated in writing.
• Refund and cancellation policies are program-specific and will be provided at the time of registration.
• LAC reserves the right to cancel or reschedule programs due to safety concerns, insufficient enrollment, or circumstances beyond our control.

5. Force Majeure

• LAC shall not be held liable or responsible for any failure or delay in performance caused by events beyond reasonable control, including natural disasters, pandemics, strikes, governmental actions, terrorism, or transportation disruptions.

6. AI & Learning Tools

• AI-supported tools may be used to enrich learning.
• No personal data of children is collected, stored, or shared without verified parental consent.

7. Intellectual Property

• All materials, itineraries, and resources provided by LAC are protected intellectual property and may not be reproduced or distributed without prior written consent.

8. Indemnification

• Participants agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless LAC, its owners, employees, contractors, and affiliates from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, or costs (including legal fees) arising out of participation, including claims caused by the conduct of the participant or their child(ren).

9. Limitation of Liability

• To the maximum extent permitted by law, LAC, its owners, and affiliates are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
• Total liability is limited to the amount paid by the participant for the specific program in dispute.

10. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

• These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
• All disputes shall first be submitted to good-faith mediation in Colorado.
• Participants waive the right to bring class actions or jury trials; disputes must be resolved on an individual basis.
• To the maximum extent permitted by law, jurisdiction and venue shall be exclusively in the courts of Colorado, USA.

11. Changes to Terms

• LAC may update these Terms periodically. Continued participation or website use constitutes acceptance of any revised terms.
