Nordic Winter Learning Journey: Dec. 2025 – Jan 2026

Join us on an experiential and purposeful learning adventure where curiosity, culture, and character come alive under the Nordic lights.
Based in Malmö, Sweden, with optional excursions to Denmark and Finland, this flexible six-week program blends hands-on exploration with reflective learning—rooted in Learning Across Continents’ vision to Explore, Experiment, and Exceed.
Participation in all weeks is optional.

What Students Experience

  • Culture & Traditions – Step into a living classroom of empathy and awareness through Lucia celebrations, Christmas markets, and Nordic winter festivals that honor light and community. Students discover how compassion, generosity, and shared traditions strengthen both human connection and unshakable family bonds.

  • Art & Creativity – Guided by the belief that creativity is the essence of humanity, participants explore Nordic design, light, and storytelling through immersive workshops and museum visits. Each project nurtures emotional intelligence and creative confidence—qualities that help students grow beyond what technology can teach.

  • History & Heritage – From Viking ships to medieval monasteries, students connect with history through hands-on discovery. Storytelling and dialogue invite reflection on ethical leadership, courage, and the timeless pursuit of wisdom—linking past and present through meaningful experiences that families explore together.

  • Science & Innovation – Discover how curiosity drives progress by comparing Viking engineering with modern Nordic sustainability and design. Students experiment with problem-solving, innovation, and ethical reasoning—learning to balance intelligence with empathy. With support from different AI channels, families learn to use technology for assessments, debates, and scheduling purposes—always with human insight leading the way.

  • Adventure & Nature – Experience the power of nature as both teacher and guide through skating, winter hikes, and optional archipelago excursions. Outdoor learning builds resilience, mindfulness, and teamwork while deepening connections among family members.

  • Reflection & Sharing – Through journaling, dialogue circles, and storytelling, students learn to express emotions and insights with clarity and authenticity—core to the LAC approach to language, empathy, and critical thinking. Families practice fruitful, peaceful debates, developing the art of constructive disagreement and thoughtful dialogue. The experience culminates in a Festival of Light & Wisdom, where families share creative projects and reflections.

Program Highlights

  • Lucia concert in a historic Swedish church
